MFOS TO BE BIGGER, STRONGER AFFAIR NEXT YEAR

21st October 2024 – The inaugural MAM Malaysia Festival of Speed (MFOS) concluded yesterday at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, with a commitment to be bigger and better in the upcoming year.

In making this pledge, MAM Deputy President, Dato’ Mohammed Rhiza Ghazi emphasized that the association would conduct a thorough review of the two-day event to identify areas for improvement.

“Being the first ever national event of its kind, naturally, there were teething problems and shortcomings and as chief organiser and promoter of this MFOS 2024, I would like to apologise. Our promise at MAM is that we will be making the
event even better, bigger and stronger next year.

“We will have our post mortem and make our internal analysis of everything that happened for the past two days and make rectifications for the better of the event and motorsports as a whole,” said Dato’ Mohammed Rhiza at the trophy
presentation ceremony held at the end of the Games.

MAM President Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir highlighted the significance of MFOS, describing it as a catalyst for fostering a new wave of motorsport enthusiasm among Malaysians. “MFOS aims not only to cultivate international champions but also to expand the motorsport culture and engage grassroots participants,” he added.

The first edition of the festival showcased competitions across seven disciplines: Karting Sprint, Karting Slalom, Rally, Auto Gymkhana, Moto Gymkhana, E-Sports, and Pocket Bike, along with a demonstration event featuring Push Bikes.
